Xmas Night

I spent Christmas night perusing the skies over Iraq and got the privilege of talking to a few of you on that wonderful Sat phone. I know I know it cuts out and I was tired of calling back so sorry the calls were short but at least I got to hear your voice as you got to hear the rumbling of the mighty Herk. I was also able to fire off a text message or 2 and that surprised me, I mean especially where I was flying I would have never thought that I would get cell phone coverage, even as very spotty as it was.

Here is the crew eating Xmas dinner

Our Hero shot in the back of the plane

Look the santa hats never came off, even on JD my Nav

More Xmas DFAC fun

Oh there was a girl Amy Scott in the back that knows of E, she is an ABMer at Kadena, when I said your name she just gave me a blank stare but when I said Jackpot then she knew you. Oh and E and Josh, THANK YOU!!!! I opened your box as I landed and look out, I got the coolest threads in all of Iraq now =) Also I will use the water bottle when I get back but for now all the water I get already comes in bottles! Oh and Josh, I am way jealous of your ride, I want go play in the skies like that!

After the flight I took a 4 hour nap and then went for a nic 3 mile run OUTSIDE, yea it's always nice when you can run outside. There are a lot of days when the dust, burn pit, or heat (ok not this time) get in the way of running outside. I enjoy being outside and in the sun,I guess it's from my roots.

After the run I hit the gym, then shower, then dinner and the crew went to see Yes Man. It was a great movie and nice to laugh and see a positive movie. I think I have/will see more movies this trip then I have in the last 3 years, but hey the price is right… FREE It's also nice to have access to new movies over here, I guessI should watch all the bad things I say about AAFES.

Have a great day and I’ll chat later, Aloha!
