Great Day =)

So today was fun, I got to fly as an instructor for the first time! Yea I was the dude that was experienced and I got to be the teacher. Kinda crazy when you think about it but I guess I am getting older and what not.

It’s just funny when I sit back and think of all the things that I have gone though to get to this point. I mean I remember the first time I started liking airplane, my first solo, all the stuff in college to try and get into the USAF and then somehow watching the stars align as my sister E was there to see me get selected for a pilot slot, to going to Germany to wait for my UPT class to start, to all the BS I had to put up with for almost 2 years of pilot training, to the literally thousands of hours of flying around the world (over 50 countries at last count), the months of upgrade training back in Little Rock, AR to just everything and now I am the one people go to for answers… Wow I am getting old hahaha Oh well.

This was from my Xmas 2005 deployment but I though it captures what I am trying to say very well... Yes that is a rainbow around the shadow of my C-130, it was an early morning flight and as we were climbing up the sun was at our backs and it gave us this incredible photo opportunity. Don't worry we also took the opportunity to do a little cloud surfing as well... Have I mentioned that I love flying???

It was a great flight and all went well, one of those days were you just love to have your job!

I got to worked on the plane a little tonight but I just had a great day and wanted to share that with you all, oh and yes now that I am an instructor they need me to fly lots so I get to do it all over again tomorrow, ahh life is good =)
