Blue Sky

Well just getting ready to go and have lunch. The power just came back on and I will have to wait till someone resets the router/internet thing before I can send this. But at least I will have it typed up and ready to go.

When I woke up this morning it was nice and quiet, so silent that I knew what was going on. The power was out and for once you could hear yourself think. No sounds of generators, no air conditioners blasting heat into the rooms, no sound at all (ok there was still the 1,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 decibel fighters taking off but it was still nice and quite).

They shut down the generators on a scheduled basis to do maintenance on them and such, most people complain but I enjoy it, it makes everyone open there doors and socialize outside where there is light.

It was a beautiful morning too. There was not a cloud in the sky but yet it was a little warmer than it has been, about 50F I would say. With the silence I could almost hear the birds in the back ground, almost. I will say that the beautiful sky has put me in a great mood.

I got to log 18.0 hours during the last 2 flights, yes think about that. That’s like someone saying “hey it’s Friday, do you want to catch an evening flight to Europe (starting in the states) we’ll party all Saturday and then fly back Sunday so we can be back to work on Monday” I mean would you do that, well of course but that is how much flying I did in 48 hours and I didn’t even get the partying part =(

Let’s see what else, oh it rained so we still drying out. It’s amazing how long it takes for the mud to dry up around here, hopefully most of it will be gone today or tomorrow because I don’t like having to carry an extra pair of shoes to the gym.
