Getting warmer

So yes it was hot today, I don’t know if it was really this hot but this is what the thermometer said. I know it’s taped to the side of the room in direct sunlight, but when I am walking out in the sun am I not in direct sunlight???

So what to talk about today… I got a new navigator named Adam. I am supposed to show him what is going on and get him spun up with this combat stuff. He is brand new, just out of the school house and ready to learn. So this is a little bit of a challenge for me as I am a pilot and he is a navigator and I am trying to teach him his job in a combat environment.

Well I wish I could go into more detail about what happened on our first flight together, don’t worry we are all fine and what not, but let’s just say that my new navigator hit a certain switch that did something he was not expecting and I am sure that it cost a LOT of money. Everything is ok, just a mistake but it was a little embarrassing for all. Once this switch was flipped there was nothing I could do about it.

Here is a picture that might help you all out, search the internet for c-130 flare video my internet is to slow to get it for ya but you might like it =)

I spent some time out in the sun trying to get a little color today, I couldn’t stay to long as it was getting a little hot. Then I hung out with the guys that were heading back today, it was nice to see them go as it is a reminder that my time too will come when I can be back in the land of $4 a gallon gas.

It sure is nice being over here and not spending a dime, I mean really what do I need to spend money on… nothing! But I have ordered a few things for the plane and I did get some new shirts, pretty sad that I am wearing out my desert clothes. People that know me know that I don’t buy cloths; I still wear t-shirts from high school, so to get new desert gear means that they were getting pretty bad.

Ok well I really should get some sleep, just had a chance to use this computer so I jumped on it and wanted to say HI.

Chat later, Aloha!
