Memorial Day 2008

Happy Memorial Day all. Today was spent in the air over my home away from home. I flew 7 stops today for a grand total of 2.9 flight hours logged, yea a lot of short hops. It is very hot in the plane and we sweat our butts off but it is keeping everything off the dangerous roads and that makes it all worth it.

One of the load masters flew a bunch of flags for his friends and family and everyone that got on the plane had a smile on their face as they saw 10+ flags hanging in the back, it was pretty cool.

When I got back I headed to the pool, yes the dust had settled. I jumped off the 3 meter and watched some crazy chick do a back flip off of it and taunt me to do the same, I said maybe later. Then we played football and Volleyball in the pool till the sun went down, it almost felt like I was home on the beach.

I was also made fun of in the Sq as I had a bunch of mail, I got a HUGE box from Dad that had some space age mattress so that I can now feel like I am orbiting up in space as I sleep. Amy sent me a box of goodies with some black out curtains so that when my roomy opens the door mid-day it will still allow me to rest peacefully in orbit ;) I also got a letter from Karyn and that about put it over the top, I was by far the most loved person on the crew yesterday!

I finished the day off with some dinner and a work out with Rob, I would have updated this yesterday but the internet was down. So here it is and I hope that you all had a great holiday weekend, I did.
